Product updates indicate that the company wants to ensure that they provide their customers with the latest version of the service, such as ViaLite Communications’ ODE-C outdoor enclosure for fiber-optic radio frequency equipment, which has recently undergone a mid-term update. Including improved design and better connector gland plate configuration. This upgrade has been successful in some recent deployments in the satellite communications and broadcasting markets and has been well received by customers.

The ODE-C cabinet is a large 12U outdoor cabinet that can accommodate up to four ViaLite 3U 19" racks or a combination of ViaLite and customer-supplied 19" rack compatible equipment. Its rugged IP55-rated design protects electrical, RF and optical equipment from external factors when placed outdoors. The wall-mounted enclosure also has a swing frame enclosure for easy access to the front and rear of the device.

One of the world's three largest satellite communications companies with more than 70 satellites in orbit purchased the housing. They said: "Because of the electrical performance advantages we provide, we choose ViaLite products over products from other suppliers. Their equipment has been tested very well."

The housing of ViaLite is suitable for the climate range between -40 oC and 60 oC. The company also recently introduced a fan assembly option that contains 12 small fans that help reduce the temperature of the RF fiber optic module in the rack cabinet unit by 9-10 oC. Although this is particularly useful in hot climates, this option is beneficial in any situation because the fan assembly increases airflow in the cabinet, thereby increasing link density and helping to extend the life of the equipment.
